Bio
Singer-Songwriter Wade Lashley has been plying his trade for many years now. Born and raised in a small Midwestern farm town Lashley picked up the guitar at 19 and not long after that was writing and performing his own songs. He left Indiana for the clear, blue skies of Northern Arizona in ’92 and didn’t look back.
In 2005 he released a solo acoustic album with voice, guitar and harmonica titled “In from the Wilderness”. The ’05 recording was followed in 2008 by ‘Someone Take the Wheel”. Recorded with Jeff Lusby at Studio Retrograde and with the backing of a full band this latest release crosses the Americana spectrum from driving country to blues tinged rock numbers. “Someone Take the Wheel” won  Flaglives’ editor’s choice award for best local album of 2008 and received very fine reviews in Italian music magazines Busacadero and Rootshighway along with Belgian webzine Rootstime. Fredy Cellis of Rootstime says “Lashley is an artist that deserves our full attention” and Nico Gervasini of Rootshighway compares Lashleys’ work to the early recordings of John Hiatt and Graham Parker. “Someone Take the Wheel” crosses the Americana spectrum from driving country to blues tinged rock numbers. January of 2011 found Lashley releasing his third collection of Americana originals “Come on Sundown”. Paulo Caru of Buscadero magazine had this to say “Independent in all respects. Between Rock and Roots with a strong country influence. "Come On Sundown" confirms that it's possible for artists to make beautiful recordings without the help of a record company. Lashley delivers these songs with a soulful conviction whether it’s a solo performance or with the backing of his band “The Rounders”.
Lashleys’ performed at venues throughout the Southwest including the Flagstaff and Prescott, AZ Folk Festivals, The Cowgirl Hall of Fame in Santa Fe, NM, Historic Taos Inn, The Opening Bell Dallas, TX, Waterloo Ice House Austin, TX, Momo’s Club Austin, Antones Austin, TX The Auslander Fredericksburg, TX, Ardovinos Desert Crossing El Paso, TX, Nimbus Brewery Tucson, AZ, Fiddlers’ Dream Phoenix, AZ and The Raven Café Prescott, AZ .

Band Information

The Rounders
Wade Lashley’s original, Americana music attains an evangelical force of presence with The Rounders, a five-piece band whose membership reads like a who’s who of Arizona working musicians (John Reuter – pedal steel, Keith Gomora – bass and backup vocals, Andrew Lauher – drums, and Brad Bays – lead guitar and mandolin), demonstrate a magnetism which transcends genre, boasting a devout regional fan base and a host of eager venues (in other words, a Rounders night is a money night). Via instant-classic originals and covers ranging from Waylon to Wilco, Lashley demonstrates a connoisseur's instinct for setting the tone. It’s rollicking, it’s grab your girl or else grab your drink; but the Rounders also deliver a kick to the heartstrings when you least expect it. Lashley’s vocal delivery is impeccably sincere; the rhythm section of Gomora and Lauher is relentless as a freight train, Rueter’s pedal steel sweet and tasteful and Bays‘ licks are downright predatorial. Lashley is even prone to playing through set breaks, charming crowds with a smattering of acoustic duets in tandem with guest vocalist Hannah Pralle. A hard-playing workhorse of a band, The Rounders deliver a rock solid, satisfying good time, every time – you won’t know whether to dance or stare. Either way, you’re in good hands.
